Engage in deep exploration of complex mathematics with talented peers and expert instructors. Our advanced high school math & AI program challenges students to reach new heights of understanding through perseverance and ingenuity.
Mission
National Math Camps is planning to launch a new summer program designed for mathematically advanced high school students with a strong interest in pursuing mathematics, computer science, or data science at the highest levels. Inspired by the philosophy of programs like PROMYS and ROSS, our curriculum emphasizes depth over breadth, with students spending much of their time working independently or in small groups on challenging problem sets and research projects.
In Summer 2026, we plan to welcome our first cohort of students to a six-week residential program on the campus of a leading research university. Students will begin with foundational work in number theory and data science, then branch into specialized topics and research projects in mathematics and AI. Throughout, students will be guided by faculty who are active in academia and industry.
To bring together extraordinary students and mathematicians for immersive, joyful and transformational math experiences that prepare & inspire students to impact the frontiers of math and science.
A world where all mathematically talented students have access to rigorous mathematical experiences and become the next generation of pioneers who will drive innovation, solve complex global challenges, and lead with curiosity, creativity and integrity.
Why us?
Students thrive when they are part of a vibrant and supportive mathematical community, where they can learn from one another and build lasting friendships. This sense of community is best cultivated through meaningful time spent together in person.
Discovering the beauty & wonder of mathematics should be a joyful experience. While our programs all involve serious mathematical work, we aim to approach it in a way that sparks curiosity, nurtures creativity, and instills a genuine love for mathematics and learning.
Students achieve the most mathematical growth by engaging deeply with challenging problems and concepts that stretch their abilities. Our programs are designed to encourage focused exploration of complex ideas, fostering both mastery and resilience.
The pursuit of mathematics is a personal journey, and no single program fits all students.
We aim to create a thriving ecosystem that includes a variety of high-quality math programs so that every student can find the community that best supports their individual path and aspirations.
At National Math Camps, students engage in immersive learning with experts, experiencing what it’s like to be a real mathematician. They explore advanced topics in math through problem solving and research projects.
The residential camp experience will introduce students to professional mathematicians and data scientists. Campers will forge new friendships and create lifelong memories with talented peers and mentors, while experiencing living & learning on the ivy-covered campus of one of the country’s top universities.
Most of each day will be spent working through rich, multi-layered problem sets designed to push the boundaries of what you know—and how you think. Faculty and counselors will be available to support and challenge you, but you’ll do the hard work yourself.
In the final weeks, you’ll choose from a range of research projects in pure mathematics or AI/data science.
Live and learn alongside a cohort of peers who share your passion for mathematics and discovery. Many students find the intellectual friendships they form here last far beyond the summer.
While this is a highly academic program, you’ll still have time to relax, connect, and have fun. Weekly guest lectures, game nights, and weekend outings balance the intense academic focus with moments of joy and rest.
