Explore fun & interesting concepts with professional mathematicians while forging new friendships with other mathy kids in amazing academic & recreational settings.
Mission
National Math Camps provide immersive summer enrichment opportunities that allow campers to experience the joys of mathematical exploration with equally passionate peers in an environment that celebrates their curiosity and promotes friendship.
For summer 2027, we are expanding our offerings to serve students ages 11 – 16.
Our sessions offer campers 2 – 4 weeks of residential camp experiences with professional mathematicians exploring advanced topics in and out of the classroom. Campers will forge new friendships and create lifelong memories with other mathy kids, while living in dormitory housing on beautiful campuses with plenty of recreational activities available as well.
To bring together extraordinary students and mathematicians for immersive, joyful and transformational math experiences that prepare & inspire students to impact the frontiers of math and science.
A world where all mathematically talented students have access to rigorous mathematical experiences and become the next generation of pioneers who will drive innovation, solve complex global challenges, and lead with curiosity, creativity and integrity.
Students thrive when they are part of a vibrant and supportive mathematical community, where they can learn from one another and build lasting friendships. This sense of community is best cultivated through meaningful time spent together in person.
Discovering the beauty & wonder of mathematics should be a joyful experience. While our programs all involve serious mathematical work, we aim to approach it in a way that sparks curiosity, nurtures creativity, and instills a genuine love for mathematics and learning.
Students achieve the most mathematical growth by engaging deeply with challenging problems and concepts that stretch their abilities. Our programs are designed to encourage focused exploration of complex ideas, fostering both mastery and resilience.
At National Math Camps, students engage in immersive learning with experts, experiencing what it’s like to be a real mathematician. They explore advanced topics in math through hands-on activities and interactive classes.
Beyond the classroom, campers participate in fun activities and events like talent shows and game nights, fostering friendships, building community and creating lifelong memories. With plenty of social and recreational activities, the camps create balanced, enriching experiences that promote both academic growth and lasting friendships.

Campers dive into advanced math topics through hands-on activities and expert-led sessions, encouraging deep problem-solving and critical thinking.
Alongside academics, campers enjoy fun events and outdoor activities that build community and create lifelong memories.
Our faculty and staff understand the unique social and emotional needs of extraordinary young people and create a warm environment where campers feel seen and supported, and can truly flourish.
All of our programs are designed for mathematically talented students and use age ranges (rather than school grades) to ensure the best social and academic fit.
For 2026, both of our camps served students ages 11–14 (as of June 1). For summer 2027, we are expanding our offerings to serve students ages 11 – 16. Additional camps for other age ranges will be added in future years — sign up for updates!
All NMC camps require an application, including a short problem set that helps us understand each student’s mathematical interest and readiness.
For more details, please see the individual camp pages below.
NMC is committed to making our programs accessible to all qualified students. We offer need-based financial aid up to 100% of tuition and travel costs.
Camp Sierpiński is located in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina. In 2025, it was hosted at Saint Mary’s School. In 2026, it was hosted at William Peace University. Both are small and picturesque campuses tucked within Raleigh’s vibrant downtown.
Camp details for 2027 will be announced by the end of November.
Camp Conway is located in the Los Angeles area of California. In 2025 and 2026, it was hosted at Harvey Mudd College, with dorms at adjacent Scripps College. Harvey Mudd offers an iconic setting for mathematical learning, while Scripps’ dorms consistently rank among the best in the nation.
Camp details for 2027 will be announced by the end of November.
For summer 2027, we are adding an early high school camp for students ages 13 – 16. It will be located on the West Coast, and offer one four-week session.
In future years, we hope to launch additional camps, including family camps for elementary-aged students and high school camps for ages 15 – 18.
